Tutu Diaries: NATALIE NADER
What’s it like having four daughters?
It’s definitely challenging. Don’t get me wrong — I feel so blessed to have four daughters. It’s amazing but there are tough times. Whatever you do for one, you have to do for the others so if you buy one a dress you’re never buying just one. You always end up buying four. The beautiful thing is that they all share similar interests. They love ballet, singing, dancing, music and the arts. It’s such a great connection between them. I feel like that’s probably what brings them closer together and makes them best friends. I’m very blessed and love that they have this kind of relationship.

How did you discover Tutu du Monde?
It was eight or nine years ago. I was looking for tutus online for my daughter who was about one at the time and I’ve been shopping with Tutu Du Monde ever since! Over the last eight years I’ve seen the brand evolve into something magical, whimsical and amazing. Whatever the season, whether it’s Halloween, Christmas or a Holy Communion, I just love the fact that there is an outfit for every occasion.
Tell us about the moments between you and your daughters when you give a tutu to them
Oh wow! Well, we’ve actually kept every single tutu that we’ve had for the last nine years. I keep them in a special closet. Now everyone knows that’s the Tutu Closet! I remember when I gave the very first tutu to my daughter. She spun around the room in such a playful manner. She looked like an absolute princess. I think that’s what they love. The moment they put it on they get to be the princess that they read about in their bedtime stories and I just love watching the joy on their faces. It’s a real life dream. I mean, I’m an adult and I still love to wear tutus. They’re truly timeless. When my girls have their own daughters they can pass them on and keep them for generations.
